RAY DAVIES, former lead singer of THE KINKS, will be appearing for one night only, at The Beacon Theatre. Davies, in a solo performance, will be singing tracks from his latest album: "Working Man's Life," released in
October 2007. Tickets range from $59-$89 and can be purchased through the box office or any ticket agency.
We cannot be seated together, but we will arrange to meet before the show for a snack (optional).
The album is just what I would expect from my all time favorite rock icon.
Working Man's Cafe positively bristles with melodies and inquiry; the "ooh-ooh harmonies in Imaginary Man;
the descending chord progressions on Peace in Our Time and You're Asking Me: these work to templates
invented by Davies, which are his and his alone.
Oh yeah, he's really got me going!
